Day 24: To dye for
I fear this might be a bit of a Marmite dress - you'll either love it or hate it. And I LOVE it. This is going to be my Christmas dress this year - and beyond.
At first glance, it might look like a tie-dye T-shirt. It's anything but. This dress from COS is actually a luxe silk shift in an explosion of colour - think inky splashes of vermilion, forest green, taupe and blue. It's £89, but I'd put it on a par with a designer piece because the print is so unique, making no two dresses the same.
I've teamed it with skinny jeans here (from 18th Amendment), but I'll also be wearing it as a dress, too. It has a nice little detail where the back is just slightly longer than the front, which makes it hang really nicely. Plus, the riot of colours means that if I spill cranberry sauce or red wine on it, nobody will notice!
Oh, and did I mention that tie-dye will be a trend next season? Just take a look at Proenza Schouler if you don't believe me.
