Day 6: Waffly good
I've never been a rugby or polo top kind of girl. Not sporty enough, lacking in sunkissed blondeness, the look never suited. So I've come round to thinking that maybe Breton stripes are my substitute for that casual, dressed-down piece.
There's just something so appealing about horizontal stripes and Gap's latest waffly incarnation comes with different width strips, as well as a row of dinky little buttons going up to the neckline.
I'm especially liking this festive red version. It looks as cute with a miniskirt as it does with skinny jeans - I recommend blue denim for both. Meanwhile, for serious slobbing-out days (I'm talking glued to the sofa with a stack of DVDs here), I've got the navy version and I've gone a few sizes up for a larger, roomier sloppy Joe look.
The top also comes in grey and purple, too. At £14.50 a pop, you can treat yourself to more than one - I did, and today is definitely a navy day!
