Happiness is a wardrobe full of Sonia Rykiel


Shopping the Sonia Rykiel pour H&M launch yesterday was a military operation. I was up at dawn with my cadets, the Stickman, Em, Mr Em and fellow Sonia devotee Kirsty. Getting there before the 0900 hours opening, we joined the queue and did a reccy of the shop layout through the window.

A few hours later, with three H&M stores visited, I was down by more than I'd care to mention but I was up by 4 sweaters, 2 cardigans, 1 vest top, 1 jacket, 1 dress, 1 skirt, 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of tights, 1 pair of socks, 1 bag, 1 scarf, 1 brooch and 1 doll (pictured above and below)!

And, to reward my troops for a successful mission, it was off to the Hummingbird Bakery for tea, coffee and cupcakes. A good day's shop, I'd say. Hope you got some Sonia goodies, too!

  3. Yes, I was a bit late at Brighton but still got the LAST yellow and pink jumper with bows and a black dress...either i have lost shedloads of weight (unlikely) or the sizes are large?

  6. I'm glad you all like the doll. I'm loving her sweater dress and wishing I'd bought the adult-sized version! And Patuxxa, if you do decide to keep Sonia doll, your baby cousin need never know. I won't tell!

    I thought the sizes ran true to French sizing - a little on the small size! There were a few exceptions, like the black and white stripy sweater and the multi-coloured stripy sweater dress, but I think they're meant to be a little more voluminous. Glad you managed to get something. There's still a few things left - I went into the four stores around Oxford Street and Regent Street this evening.

    I totally agree with you - Sonia is most definitely the best H&M collaboration yet. I got the black A-line dress with the flower on one of the shoulder straps. Will try and post some pics soon. Hope you got some Sonia!

  8. I really want to see what you have bought! I keep checking blogs and seeing things I want

    I bought the striped scarf, stud beret hat and striped dress. Then went back for the black mini. then bought the one shoulder knit dress today. There are plenty of shoes left in my H&M they look really good on some bloggers and makes me want to try them on!

  11. Sonia Rykiel Pour H&M was available at most of the central London stores from 20th February, including Oxford Circus and Regent Street. However, I think it may be sold out by now.
