Now, as you know, I've got a penchant for Breton stripes. But, as it happens, I'm also partial to the odd bow occasionally. Put the two together and you get this oh-so chic dress from Primarni for just £9. Its sophisticated monochrome style makes me think of Chanel, while the jet-black sequined bow reminds me of Sonia Rykiel and Markus Lupfer.
This isn't too dissimilar to the H&M dress I blogged about in April (minus the bow, of course). Comparing the two, I'd say the only downside is that the Primark version could do with a little more Lycra. The sequined bow more than compensates, however, creating an understated yet elegant look.
I've teamed mine with wedges (a very old pair from M&S!), but I think Chanel-style black quilted ballet pumps would look adorable. And the clutch (another oldie, from H&M) is just the style to carry off the air of French sophistication. I'm thinking my River Island clutch would look good, too. J'adore!
Gorgeous dress! I have a stripy H&M one I got Spring/Summer season and I've worn it like it was sewn onto me! Really enjoying your blog : )

OMG love the dress, I love bows (its what my blog is all about) and breton stripes since they fall into the nautical trend which I also love! I was planning on doing a post called bow selecta (still will but the subject matter is slightly different) but fantastic outfit nonetheless =)
ReplyDeleteHeya! Love the dress! Love breton stripes (wearing a breton top at the momt actually!) Love the bow detailing and the shoes too!
