Day 12: Velvet crush
On the 12th day of Christmas, Bargainista Fashionista brings you autumn/winter's big fabric trend: velvet. But this season you don't have to buy a party dress to wear it. From jackets to leggings, this rich, sumptuous material is everywhere on the high street.
For a variation on the traditional swathes of black, wine and emerald velvet, check out the folky, floral-print velvets at Next. I love the autumnal colours and the prices. With the floral-print velvet skirt (above) at £32 and the dress (below) at £38, it's luxe for less. I also love that the dress comes in petite, regular and tall – perfect for getting exactly the right length you desire.
Oh, and can I mention the cute camel jumper (above), too? A lambswool-mix in this season's hottest shade, it's perfect for dressing down velvet and creating a more understated look. Plus, it's only £28.
So, my advice for you this Sunday? For stress-free shopping, skip the shops and visit Next online instead.
