As you may know, Alex Monroe is one of my favourite jewellery designers. So you can picture the excitement when I unwrapped this posy heart necklace, a gift from the Stickman for our wedding anniversary earlier this year.
There's plenty of inspiration for Christmas on Alex Monroe's website, from his latest chrysanthemum designs (of which an exclusive black chrysanthemum collection launches at Liberty on Friday 9th December) to his 12 Days of Christmas extravaganza.
For the second year running, Alex has created limited-edition pieces based on the 12 Days of Christmas song, making one available on the first day, two on the second, and so forth. As well as the highly covetable jewellery, you'll love the Advent calendar-style winter woodland scene (below).
Meanwhile, for Alex Monroe at bargain prices, head to Pullens Yards open studio this weekend where Alex will be selling seconds of his jewellery. From 11am to 6pm this Saturday and Sunday, at Iliffe Street and Crampton Street, London SE17 3LH, designers open up their studios, selling jewellery, ceramics, art, photography, fashion and more. It's a great event.
And, if you can't make it to south-east London, Alex is selling seconds at Primrose Hill designer sale on Saturday 10th December at St Mary-the-Virgin Church, Elsworthy Road, London NW3 3DJ, from 10am to 6pm. Two opportunities to snap up some beautiful jewellery for a steal, I say.
