Diane von Furstenberg, the queen of the wrap dress, has teamed up with Gap to design a collection for GapKids and babyGap and it launches tomorrow.
Girls under the age of 14 are in for a treat (sorry boys, but this is a girls-only range) with DVF dresses, T-shirts, shorts and trousers for newborns through to teenagers. There's also sunglasses and the cutest sandals, too. With prices from £9.95, the little ones really do get a designer label for less. And yes, there is a DVF wrap dress (below). Oh to be little again!
If the success of Gap's previous GapKids and babyGap collaboration with Stella McCartney is anything to go by, Diane von Furstenberg's collection is sure to be a sell-out (plus, you may find grown women trying to squeeze themselves into the teenage sizes!).
And it's not only Gap that's encouraging a designer habit from an early age. Liberty opened its children's department earlier this month, with labels including Stella McCartney, Paul Smith and Isabel Marant. Fashion starts young it seems.
