Alex Monroe sample sale

Don't miss Pullens Yards summer open studios event this weekend. For starters, jewellery designer Alex Monroe is opening his doors and I've been reliably informed there are serious reductions.

With more than 40 open workshops to visit, selling everything from jewellery, ceramics, painting, photography, clothing, furniture and books, you can buy direct from the designer or artist – at a reduced price.

The studios at Clements, Peacock and Iliffe Yards (Alex Monroe is situated in the latter) are open from 11am to 6pm today and tomorrow. So head on down to south London (Iliffe Street and Crampton Street, London SE17 3LH) for some handcrafted and individual bargains. It's nice just to nosey around the studios, too!
