My fluoro-pink Cambridge satchel: part 2

PHOTOGRAPHS BY STEPHANIE SIAN SMITH

The Cambridge Satchel Company's fluoro bags have been insanely popular this season. At work, I've counted five alone: two pink, one yellow, one orange, one green. For me, my fluoro satchel is the Day-Glo equivalent of happiness, so what better way to work this season's neon trend?

This is a hat-trick of first appearances for my Cambridge satchel, my Alex Monroe bicycle necklace and my Orla Kiely for Uniqlo shirt, teamed with my favourite Sonia Rykiel for H&M shorts. What do you think? (I've just realised my necklace ties in nicely with The Cambridge Satchel Company's bicycle logo!)

I've been contemplating getting my Cambridge satchel embossed. I like the idea of personalising it with my initials and The Cambridge Satchel Company offers four styles of lettering: black, gold, silver and blind (ie no colour fill). I think the latter would look good on my fluoro bag.

Embossing isn't too expensive, either – £5 per letter with a cap at £20 for four or more. Ha, for £20 I could have Bargainista Fashionista emblazoned across my satchel. Would it fit I wonder?

Mine's the 13-inch satchel if you're weighting up what size to get. It's spacious enough for all my daily essentials, plus an iPad fits in easily.

However, I do hanker after a personalised Cambridge satchel in classic red after spotting actress Zooey Deschanel carrying one. It looked the cutest. Hmm, maybe I need to get another satchel. But, oh, what colour embossing to go with red? Suggestions please!

  1. I love your satchel, but don't know whether I could bear to pay over £100 for a bag - i'd rather buy several less quality I think...although it is beautiful...maybe one day!! The bicycle necklace is perfect with this outfit ♥ x

  2. Hi Fashion Bandit,

I was lucky enough to get mine for £20 in the sale!

However, I think it is reasonably priced. It bridges the gap between high street and designer bags, making great design and good quality more affordable for all.

The fluoro collection from The Cambridge Satchel Company is amazing. I like the fluoro yellow and orange satchels, too.

The Cambridge Satchel Company has done a great job of making it such a cult bag. I think it's done to the wide selection of colours. I want one in every colour!!!
